Oil and Gas has become a major threat to Guyana
In 2015 ExxonMobil announced that it had discovered oil 120 miles offshore Guyana. Today the oil reserves are over 9 billion barrels of oil. Burning that oil would turn Guyana from a carbon sink into a 3.87gigaton carbon bomb disaster. Our executive director Melinda Janki has been leading the fight to protect Guyana, the Caribbean and the planet from dangerous deep water drilling.
